 Japan Freight Railway Company (JRThe award, run by the Freight Railway Paper Award Steering Committee of the Japan Freight Railway Association, aims to promote the development and use of freight railways, which are an efficient and environmentally friendly means of transport, while at the same time honoring cutting-edge and original proposals and research on freight railways, as well as proposals and research on comprehensive logistics centered on railways, which have a keen understanding of changes in the surrounding environment, such as the worsening labor shortage.U-25The "Award" is awarded to25This award is open to essays submitted under the age of 18, and was newly established this year.

 In this paper,31ftWe have taken up automobile parts for assembly plants of finished automobile manufacturers as an item that is thought to be able to effectively utilize containers, and have explored the elements that are particularly valued in the transportation of automobile parts, while understanding the current situation through transportation volume statistics and previous cases regarding the use of railway containers for automobile parts, and the results of existing research.31ftWe have selected sections between prefectures where we can expect to promote a modal shift involving the use of containers.
