Library

The library has inherited the collections of the former Tokyo University of Mercantile Marine and the former Tokyo University of Fisheries, both of which have a history of over 100 years, and has a rich collection of specialized books on the ocean, from ancient times to the present, from all over the world.The library is also actively involved in the introduction and maintenance of electronic journals and academic literature databases, and continues to develop an academic information infrastructure, including support for learning and research activities at the university.

On the other hand, we will further promote various initiatives to further enhance the library's functions, such as (1) explaining literature search methods in the library and in classes as part of educational activities, (2) planning exhibitions to introduce distinctive collections and digitizing and making available valuable materials, and (3) strengthening cooperation with other institutions and the community.-We are looking to expand.
