[Notice] 17th HOPE MEETING Call for Young Researchers (JSPS)

The HOPE Meeting is a retreat-style conference where selected graduate students and young researchers from the Asia-Pacific and African regions can interact with prominent researchers, including Nobel Prize winners, and their peers.
◎Name: 17th HOPE MEETING
◎Eligibility: Doctoral students (later stage) / Young researchers (within 5 years of receiving a doctorate)
◎Application deadline: August 2025, 9
◎Period: March 2026nd to March 3th, 2
◎ Location: Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture (planned) 
◎Event mobile phone: Meeting/face-to-face
◎ Chair of the Steering Committee: Takaaki Kajita (2015 Nobel Prize in Physics)
◎Number of participants: Approximately 20 participants from Japan (approximately 90 participants from other countries and regions in Asia, the Pacific, and Africa)
Speakers: Nobel Prize winners and prominent researchers in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology, medicine and related fields (tentative)
◎ Support expenses: Round-trip transportation costs from your affiliated institution in Japan to the venue, accommodation and meals during the conference, etc.
