The Faculty of Marine Technology Miwa Masato Scholarship was taken over by the university from the Miwa Masato Scholarship Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation. The scholarship aims to provide scholarships to students (including graduate students) receiving an education at the Faculty of Marine Technology who are academically and character-excellent but who are facing financial difficulties, thereby supporting their university life. Five students from the School of Marine Engineering enrolled in the 7 academic year (including up to one transfer student and one international student (total of two). Re-enrollment and transfer students are excluded.)
Five graduate students majoring in Marine Systems Engineering or Maritime Logistics who enrolled in the 7 academic year (including an international student and one student who enrolled in October. This does not include re-enrollment students.)

3 yen per month (paid every three months, no repayment required)
If a graduate student is approved for long-term enrollment (including changes), the monthly grant amount will be revised.
- Benefit period, etc.
For students in the Faculty of Marine Engineering, the scholarship will last from the time of acceptance until the completion of their studies (four years, three years for those who transfer in their second year, and two years for those who transfer in their third year).
For graduate students, the scholarship will last from the time of acceptance until the standard period of study (2 years, or the number of years if long-term study (including changes) is permitted).
The scholarship will be suspended during the period of leave of absence. In addition, the scholarship will be terminated if the student's academic performance or behavior is significantly poor, or if the student transfers from the Faculty of Marine Technology to the Faculty of Marine Life Sciences or the Faculty of Marine Resources and Environment.
