Background of recruitment

Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, with the motto "Know the ocean, protect the ocean, and use the ocean," conducts basic and applied education and research in marine science and science and technology to contribute to the sustainable development of human society.

The "Strategic Management Organization for Marine Research" will be a university-wide research support organization that will carry out consistent research management for the entire university, from basic research to social implementation, in the Reiwa era.6Years3was installed on the moon.

Duties

the universityIVRAs part of the research support work in accordance with the above, you will be primarily responsible for the following tasks:

(1) Analyzing the research capabilities of the university and planning and formulating research strategies
 ① Collecting and organizing information and data related to university management
 ② Data analysis and visualization using collected data

 (2) Planning and promotion of various research projects and other projects that contribute to strengthening the university's research and management capabilities.
 1) Support for acquiring external funding based on the university's research capabilities (collecting information on various funds, collecting and analyzing information on science and technology policy and data on research, coordinating with faculty members on campus, etc.)
 ② Support for launching new projects (planning, proposals, negotiations with both inside and outside the university, support for preparing applications, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Those who have a doctoral degree on the day of employment or those who have a master's degree and are aiming to obtain a doctoral degree after employment.In addition, in principle, the work described in the "job description" at universities, national research and development agencies, private companies, etc.3Those who are recognized as having more than 10 years of experience
     *Those who have obtained a doctoral degree will be employed as "doctoral researchers."

  • Must be interested in the duties described in the job description and be able to take proactive action.
  • Ability to work in cooperation with stakeholders both inside and outside the university (including faculty and staff from related departments).
  • Those who have comprehensive knowledge of statistics and analytical methods, or who are willing to learn. (Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), programming (VBA, etc.), and statistical analysis software (SPSS, R, etc.) is desirable.)
  • It is desirable to have everyday communication skills in English.

     Postdoctoral researcher: Daily wage of 17,922 yen to 19,179 yen (determined based on career history, etc.)
     Industry-academia-government collaboration researcher: Daily wage 15,712 yen to 18,758 yen (determined based on experience, etc.)
